Saw this at a discounted price because it was refurbished. I had never bought a refurbished electonic because the thought of annoying warranties and sending back to manufacturer never seemed worth it but because amazon returns are easy, I pulled the trigger after my Aquila S3 died (my fault btw). Some others have mentioned that they think their machines were just factory ones that maybe didnt meet quality control at first. I can say that the only blemish on mine was a thin scratch on the bottom. Otherwise it looks and works like brand new. Some purple filament was coming out when I loaded my orange one, so someone DID use this but I'm guessing they maybe used it for a month, decided it wasnt for them, and returned it or Ankermake just kicks ass with their refurbs.I've only had this a week so something could still go wrong but I think I'm out of the woods. I've done a handful of prints, maybe like one a day, that all came out well.If you're a beginner I suggest this machine over the Aquila S3 or similar even though those are cheaper. The price difference is worth it.-Double the print speed of the Aquila S3 and other printers even at this price point. (the slow print speed was my biggest complaint about the S3)-way better build quality-way easier to put together (literally less than 20 mins between unboxing and starting it up, the Aquila S3 and other ones at that price point take longer and theres more room for error. )-way better bed adhesion-smoother finishes-I was worried I was going to miss having a screen on the machine but the Ankermake Windows program and phone app lets you print through wifi which I found out i REALLY like. No more having to mess with SD cards which I was constantly misplacing.-Above mentioned software is just as good, if not better than the Aquila S3-Its a tiny bit quieter thanks to everything being encased.Only negative I can think of is that I wish it was built in a way that was upgradeable because now I want this but with a bigger print bed haha
