I picked this up to test against a variety of other label printers; as I print a lot of labels I like to test various printers to see how the technology moves and how printers get better in general.This particular printer uses drivers that are derived from the original PC label printer companies from over a decade ago. It uses some weird adaptation of these drivers where it works but also doesn't accept every setting from these drivers.While that might sound bad; formatting on the labels themselves are good and there are no issues with the fonts. Everything just works as it should. Dithering and label color/printing speed do work so I was able to get my labels just right.This printer really shoots labels out and it also keeps zero in between uses to where I don't need to always print out a label in order to keep it printing properly. This does happen every once in a while but it isn't frequent. This means I had minimal label wastage while printing out around 200 labels over the course of a few weeks.One thing to note though is that printing a "Photo" from MS Photos doesn't work at all (even if its a b&w/greyscale image) I had to use Openoffice Draw in order to print out my company labels rather than the label photo that I use with other printers. For that it pains me to take a star off but there are plenty of other label printers that do not have this issue and can do better dithering when it comes to images.I was actually sad to put this printer back in the box in order to test other ones I have sitting here waiting to test. If I finish testing them all before I end up with new ones; I will likely go back to using this one again in the time being. It really does work well for all the different carriers labels.Phomemo's label printers tend to be good value and this is no exception. It's a simple label printer that works well, no big frills, but you're typically not looking for frills with labels. It needs to print well.Setup wasn't difficult, but you don't get a *roll* of labels with the package so you're initially starting with the folded stack method. That frankly doesn't work super-well. Actually, it's more just annoying than a major problem. HOWEVER, going to a roll makes it very easy. No issues there whatsoever. Software-wise, the client is lightweight and doesn't cause issues. However, I did find that "clipping" a shipping label image (using snip or printscreen since the client won't do it) and forcing it into 4x6 could sometimes be difficult. But that may be more MY issue than the printer itself, so I can't knock it down much for that. I'm happy with how it is ultimately working for me now that my workflows are a bit more defined. Good stuff.my regular printer completely gave up during covid and when i went to attempt to replace it, finding printers was a bit difficult due to so many people setting up home offices. so i started thnking about what i actually Needed to be printing and what i could hold off on - and what it boiled down to is that i mostly print labels - so a label printer was in order. it's been a perfect USPS / FedEx solution. It was really plug and play as well - it didnt take too terribly long to set up at all. i really do prefer this style of label for my boxes - they perfectly cover up old stickers and i don't have to get a separate label holder or use a pile of tape to attach it. eventually i will get myself a regular printer, but honestly i think i will continue using this small printer for my shipping needs. i love not having to replace printer ink!! and it doesnt take up too much space at all.Coming from a Mac ecosystem I wasn't sure if this product would be a good fit for my home office. However, once you get the updated drivers recommended by the company it works flawlessly. The one feature I miss that my Dymo has is to have the labels in a roll, but that really does not hinder the way this works. Great deal for the price.I got this to save money on printing shipping labels with my laser printer. This was relatively easy to set up, once I got the paper to feed out right. It is SUPER fast and great if you have a business and need lots of shipping labels. My prints are not as dark or clear as the test print that was in the machine when I opened it. My print is spotty and pixelated. I can't seem to figure out how to get it too look as nice as the test print, but hope to get it figured out.Also the included label editor software is corrupted. It keeps giving me an error message when I try to install it. I have no problems with the diagnostic software. It could also be some issue with Windows 10.Very easy to set up and prints 4x6 UPS and USPS labels from Ebay and etsy with ease. We are using a Zebra printer that cost hundreds more and there is no difference in speed or quality in the labels that this one produces. We will keep this as a backup so we are not out of business if our Zebra fails.This thermal label printer works perfect.It was simple to install and setup.I like that it has internal label storage instead of having to feed labels through the back and having a stack of lables just laying behind the printer.Make sure you get some good thermal labels.At first I was getting light and broken up prints but it turned out to be crappy quality labels I ordered.After getting some good labels, it works perfect.The prints come out crisp and clear with good labels.So, if you find out this isn't printing well try different labels.
