printer came with no power adapter and cable.I am a Mac user and this label printer worked for me with some investigation. I did not need the install instructions for the printer as my Mac just found it and it works. It does require a wired connection so be sure to have an adapter for USB to use this. Here are the steps that I followed to correctly size and print labels.1. Open file or click on image to print2. Click the pencil tip in the circle ( I don’t know its technical name)3. Click the square of dotted lines4. Select area to print5. Click box with overlapping sides (crop)6. Click ok when the prompt appears7. Click file -> Print8. Select this label printer9. Select 4.00 x 6.0010. PrintAll done!It seems like a lot of steps but once you memorize the steps it takes about 30 seconds to do each label, so it’s not bad. This label printer does print decent labels. I don’t know about stickers, thus far I have only had the patience and time to figure out the label printing. It took me about an hour to work this out as the included instructions were’ not particularly helpful. I Give this 4 stars for because the instructions are lacking.Great printer for use if you ship from home. I like this better than printing on regular paper and attaching it to boxes via tape. If you do a lot of shipping this is worth your while. It’s not easy but not too difficult to install. I would have to connect it to my laptop to get this working which is old school. Somehow when I open it directly to my pdf file, it does print the whole label even when I already set it to 6x4”. I’d had to play around it to actually get the actual size (in the pdf) so it wasn't easy printing the first time. Printing was fast and quality of printing is good as well. Wished it came with the label holder but it doesnt bother me so much without it.I’m not the biggest fan of this thermal printer. It works OK once you get used to it and some of the settings. It’s easier to use on a Windows machine than a Mac. Also, it’s wired and it does not transmit via Bluetooth which is a bummer. Once you get used to it though it does it’s job as intended. I just would prefer a little something more intuitive to use. The instructions weren’t the best. Why did I not purchase one of these before now, I ask myself everyday. Right out of the box it was pretty easy to set up and I barely needed the instructions.I noticed immediately that it was very quick and easy to use. I’ve only used it lightly so far for probably around 50 times over a couple of months. So I can’t speak to how well it stands up to heavy use or longevity but it's been so awesome. The labels print clearly and I've had no jams or technical problems. All around it's a very well made product and a fantastic shipping label printer. I love how small and fast this thing is and it don't cost much to use. Highly recommended to anyone with the need!Took USB-to-USB-C converters (since I have a Mac) and a printer driver download but it's finally ready to use! Their instructions were SUPER EASY & came with a converter/adapter and the driver on a USB with tutorial videos was a huge plus! Definitely recommend purchasing it for those that have a small shop that ships goodies to others! ?Worked well, easy to hookup to my computer with a pretty decent ink print quality.I'm using this printer on a Mac. The printer is small and compact in size. It's heavy and very well made.Included with the printer is a USB Thumb drive with the Printer Drivers on it. I had no problem downloading the printer driver onto my Mac and adding the printer to my list of available printers. In addition to the printer driver there is also a label maker app called 'Labelife'. The app on the USB thumb drive is for windows ... for the Mac the suggest you go to the app store and download the Labelife app from the Mac app store which I did. The Labelife app downloaded onto my Mac with no problems and appears in my Apps list however when I click to open the app, it opens but nothing appears on the screen. The ICON displays in the Dock but that's it. I don't know if it has anything to do with my OS. I'm running 10.14 Mojave but the Labelife App does not work on my Mac.••• Printing •••Despite the Labelife app not working on my Mac, I can still print labels with this printer although it is not as quick and easy as I hoped. This printer is basically like any other Printer. It will print from any program on the Mac you just have to set up and format your page to the dimensions of the label you are using. In my case, I'm using 4" x 6" labels.I printed labels using Preview, Photoshop Elements and Pixelmator Pro. In graphics programs you need to adjust your label (PDF Image) to fit the size of your canvas (4x6) and then select the printer and label size to print a perfect 4x6" label. In Preview you may need to cut, paste and edit your label image and then print.••• Impressive Output, But Clunky Work Flow •••The results of this label printer are impressive. The Labels print clear, sharp and very fast. The output speed and quality is impressive. From a work flow perspective this label printer is not very fast or convenient unless you have a template set up in a graphics program and are printing multiple labels.I print a handful of labels a week, ... mainly return shipping labels. In order to print these I need to launch my graphics program, cut and past the label into a new window then select the printer, adjust the label size and then print. The workflow needed to create a single "One Of" Label is not very fast or convenient.••• Recommendation •••If you're a Mac User and printing multiple labels using a template this printer is an excellent choice. If you are using it as a convenience printer for return shipping labels then sadly this printer is not that great.I don't know what the workflow is on windows. Windows users may have a quicker, less involved, procedure to print labels.I had no idea what to look for in a good shipping label style printer and this listing caught my eye. I am now semi-retired, but have been wanting to get into a small biz again and I really had a need for a good printer in order to help with processing orders/shipping. I am embarrased to admit that in the past, I would print labels on a regular printer in 8 1/2 x 11 and chop them to size by hand. That was a real time consuming waste, so I was hoping this Itari printer would solve that issue for me.When this arrived, I was struck by how small and light the box was! This unit is amazingly compact, but it has a quality feel. I set this up under Windows (I cannot comment about Mac OS so search other reviews in that regard) I had no issues in getting this up and running with windows and the commonly available shipping apps. I think something like this would be well suited to small Ebay and Etsy sellers. It was ready to go in no time.I made a few test prints with some self adhesive shipping style labels. The resulting image is crisp and sharp. It looks great. Once you have spent a short time using this it all seems very straight forward. Its a very intuitive process. All in all, I am very impressed with this Itari Label Printer. I am sure there may be other styles of shipping label printers out there, but I think this little unit may be all that I need to get my new 'semi-retired' venture up and running and help take the stress out of shipping parcels. I think the current price point at $129 is reasonable in relation to competing products and given how well it performs and I am going to give it a 5 for that and for just how easy an experience it was to get it up an running. I think this is worthy of being on your list of possible considerations if you are shopping around for a label printer.Pros:+Thermal printing requires no ink cartridge and prints extremely fast+ Versatile. Although marketed as a shipping label printer, once the driver is installed Windows detects it (PM-241) as just any other printer so it can be used in any design or text-editing software (Illustrator, In-Design, Acrobat, Word...) to create custom stickers. It can only print in black and white though.+ Driver is included on a nice USB thumb drive that can be re-used for anything if you transfer the files onto your computer.+ Compact. Much smaller than a typical ink jet or laser printer+ Easy to feed labels in. The printer will automatically adjust label position and none is wasted, unlike small thermal printers which will often skip the first label.+ 25 4 in x 6 in sticker labels are included in the box. Refills are not too expensive: a pack of 500 labels costs around $38Cons:- Print resolution is not extremely high. Large texts appear slightly pixelated- ExpensiveThe advantages of this thermal printer are many. Among the top ones: there are no ink cartridges and the printing speed is lightning fast. However, it is also limited in the type of printing it can do as it can only do black and white. For shipping labels that's perfect and you can even get a bit creative and do more decorative labels but will be a bit held back by the resolution. At around $180 I find it quite expensive considering its limitations. i would rate it 3.5 Stars on 5.I am really excited but thermal printers like these usually start around $200, so I wanted to see if one under $150 would work well. I found for what I wanted it for it works just fine. I already had my sticker templates and sizes made so I just set up and started printing. I followed their instructions and I had no issues. I am using a MacBook and I cannot say if the setup is easy for Windows but I had no issues. I do wish that it came with a label holder, I find most thermal printers like this one now come with a label holder so that when you are printing it is more convenient and there is a less likely chance of your labels getting messed up. But again for the price I think you are getting quite a nice printer, and when you find out your sticker templates printing will be a breeze.
